Good Morning!! I’m beyond excited to share Luke and Megan’s wedding with you today! (Remember their lakeside engagement session?) This couple was married on Saturday at Maplelag, a resort just North of Detroit Lakes. Maplelag is a place full to the brim with sentiment and historic touches, showcasing the BEST of Minnesota lake life. It is the perfect choice for the discerning bride and groom who want to marry in a casual setting, while still providing first class care for their guests. Megan grew up on the lake so this was such a special place for her and Luke!
We climbed the tower in the lodge and found such lovely stained glass windows!

The air was warming as the day progressed, and by mid-afternoon the shoreline was positively lovely.
This intimidating row of “aisle police” made sure no one stepped on the fresh petal swirl waiting for the processional! 🙂

Married!!
As Luke and Megan walked down the aisle, their guests waved ribbon streamers in the air!
Walking into the reception area you were greeted with a warmly lit atmosphere and the smell of fresh bread. Just like coming home!
The newlyweds walked in to a standing ovation and cheers from the entire room!
Dinner at Maplelag, served family style. All around the room, people pass bowls of food to each other. It is just the most beautiful thing to see people sharing a meal in such a cozy, homelike environment.

Rockstar DJ did an amazing job getting the night’s festivities underway!
Before the evening ended we were sure to sneak down to the lake shore for some photos at sunset.
